About Miss Sondra
My experience working with young children goes back all the way to when I was the neighborhood baby sitter! I've always loved working with children.
In college, I worked in a preschool classroom (4 year olds) and then as a lead teacher (1 year olds).
I taught for 2 years at Sylvan Learning Center, working with K-12 students.
I've been a certified teacher for 10 years and taught Kindergarten for 9 of those years.
I am now a stay at home mommy to my own 2 children. I love being able to allow other parents a much needed break while at the same time being able to do what I love - to teach and nurture little ones.

“As a very protective mother aka "helicopter mom " I entrusted Mrs. Sondra with my first born. She has a very calm disposition and I love the safe home environment. She honestly surpassed my expectations. I believe she loves what she does and it shows. The crafts, Zoo phonics, and learning tools were top notch. I loved seeing all his school work and crafts he did daily. My boy is now in kindergarten and I feel he would have been behind if he didn't go to preschool (it's not day care they really learn a lot) and having Mrs. Sondra's nurturing guidance made the kindergarten transition very easy. I'm so excited my daughter now goes there full time.”

Sending my daughter off for the first day of school was mind wrecking as we all remember. When I first met Sondra I thought she was the sweetest of any teacher I've ever had my lifetime. I immediately felt safe to leave my daughter in her care for the first day and rest of the school year of course! I have kept in contact with Sondra over the years only to find she continues to support my daughter in her life and will always have a place for her in her heart. I also learned really quickly that Sondra is a good Christian woman that brings Christian values in all life's endeavor. I would recommend her for any type of child care and education! Congrats, your little one has just made a friend and role model for life!”
“My son has been attending Sondra's preschool for a year, and I can't say enough good things about the experience! I was hesitant about putting him in preschool until I met Sondra and her lovely family, and felt very comfortable with them. We started with one morning per week, and then progressed to two and then three days/week, as we came to love this preschool. My son really looks forward to going to Sondra's and always has a good time. He has learned a lot, and brings home wonderful artwork every week. Sondra is very kind, an excellent teacher, and has tons of cool stuff for the kiddos to do. It's amazing that such a high quality preschool is so affordable!”
“Sondra was my son's kindergarten teacher. I have never met a more patient, kind, and nurturing teacher than her. She always had a creative way of teaching the children that made it so fun for them. I always felt safe leaving my son in her care. Any child is lucky to have her as a first introduction to education that will absolutely leave a lasting love for learning.”

“I had the privilege of working as an art teacher/helper in Mrs. Sondra’s Kindergarten classroom for 5 years. I saw the way in which she taught the children and the way in which she interacted with them. She was always a gentle speaking teacher and yet you knew she was in control. She had a way of controlling the class of 20 plus children in a very calm manner. The children loved her class. She always had a fun way in which the students learned. It was a very hands on style of teaching, with a lot of manipulative type lessons. And the children loved to learn there in her classroom. I also witnessed how her previous students, who now were in upper grades, would come back to visit her and to just chat. To me, that in itself, says a lot about a teacher.”

“I am happy to say that I was Sondra’s teacher’s aide when she taught kindergarten. I found Sondra to be a wonderful kinder teacher with unending patience and creative, original ideas to help her students learn in a variety of ways. I loved that she taught life lessons and not just the curriculum. She believes that children need to play, and also, that play time can be a fun way to learn. I was thrilled to hear that she was going to be able to stay home with her own children and was starting this Mommy’s Morning Out program. It will allow her to continue doing exactly what she was born to do: being a loving Mom and a caring teacher! If I had young children or grandchildren, I would have been the first person to sign up!”
